Being comfortably accommodated in a charming cottage in Ariège is not enough if you cannot also enjoy a good table and fine wines. Drinking good wine represents a certain idea of quality of life, especially during mountain holidays.
That is why we have created for you a genuine wine bar at the cottage, with a selection of bottles that we ourselves truly enjoyed tasting. And, as the cherry on the cake, we negotiated these wines so that we can offer them to you at an unbeatable price directly on site.
Here are some details about the wines available in our cottage:
A true masterpiece among the finest Corbières red wines.
Produced only from the finest vintages, this velvety wine seduces from the very first sip. Its structure is silky and rounded, with a profusion of ripe fruit and a subtle blend of spices. Made from a blend of Syrah and old Carignan vines, it expresses the full generosity of a terroir swept by warm and powerful winds.
A genuine Corbières favourite: a great red wine to share during your evenings at the Gîte de Gustou.
A wine of pure indulgence, simple, fruity and wonderfully convivial.
A fruit-forward Corbières with lovely freshness and a remarkable quality-price ratio. It is the wine we gladly open as soon as friends arrive at the cottage: for an aperitif, a barbecue or a simple yet successful meal.
Its rich aromatic complexity ranges from violet to morello cherry. It is THE ideal bottle to accompany your warm mountain evenings.
This Malepère wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Cabernet Franc brings a medium colour, fine tannins and subtle aromas of small red fruits and spices. Combined with Merlot, it creates a more complex wine with a lovely bouquet and beautiful balance.
The dry and sunny climate of the Malepère region produces fruity, powerful and well-balanced wines. On the palate, Le Chant de la Pierre is a structured red wine with the right balance between acidity and tannins: an excellent table wine to accompany cheeses, beef, poultry and slow-cooked dishes after a day of hiking.
Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah compose this pale Corbières rosé, delicately fruity on the nose. On the palate, it reveals crisp fruit and a beautiful balance between roundness and acidity.
It is a very pleasant wine to enjoy on the terrace with friends, during an aperitif, a summer salad or a barbecue.
The Cellier des Demoiselles, founded in 1914, pays tribute to the young women of the village who, during the First World War, preserved the vineyards and the terroir in the absence of the men.
Located on the steep slopes of Guebwiller, on the mountainside, the Schlumberger vineyard is one of the most spectacular in Alsace, with terraces that earned it the nickname « leg-breakers ».
This Pinot Gris is a dry, fruity and highly aromatic white wine. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the table: sauerkraut, Pyrenean cheeses, spicy dishes or even certain desserts.
It is the ultimate all-purpose wine: easy to pair, easy to love, ideal for pleasing all your guests.
The Schlumberger estate practices sustainable viticulture, with grass cover in certain plots to control yields and limit erosion. On the steepest slopes, work is still carried out by draft horses.
The Riesling, the emblematic grape variety of Alsace, expresses itself here with precision: dry, fruity and mineral, it pairs wonderfully with seafood and fish.
You may serve it both as an aperitif and during the meal, with the guarantee of delighting all your guests during your evenings at the cottage.
